Corrections & Clarifications Policy

Truth over hype. Evidence over noise. Startups move fast and narratives change. When we’re wrong, we correct it quickly and visibly — because trust compounds.

Definition: Material errors are those that could change a reader’s understanding or decisions (funding terms, identity, timelines, legal status, product claims). These always receive visible correction notes.

1) Our newsroom promise

  • No vague claims. If it can’t be verified, it’s not fact.
  • No fuzzy funding headlines. We label announced, filed, reported, confirmed.
  • No advertorial journalism. Editorial stays independent.
  • No ego in corrections. We fix errors fast and visibly.

2) What we correct

We correct material errors affecting funding, leadership identity, legal status, timelines, or product claims. Minor typos are fixed silently; facts are not.

3) Verification rules

Startup news is noisy. We publish only what can be responsibly supported by filings, statements, or multiple credible sources.

4) Correction process

  1. Acknowledge the request
  2. Verify with primary evidence
  3. Update the story with a visible note
  4. Log internally for accountability

5) Requesting a correction

Send the story link, the incorrect claim, the corrected information, and documentary proof.
